Journey Ambassador
Journey Ambassador is a guest assistant role performed by various
team members throughout the week at set times. During the week this will
usually be the duty manager on shift in the morning and evening. I am
responsible for the role during the busy check in periods on a Friday and
Saturday, from 2-6pm. I assist with guests queries so that the
Reception Team are free to check in arrivals as quickly and efficiently as
possible. This may be done in person or over the telephone.
This role has shown me just how much work there is to do when you work in Reception - to develop this, I would like to work in a hotel's reception at some point in the near future to gain a better understanding and full experience of the department.
